Gholson ISD is excited to announce the establishment of GHOLSON HIGH SCHOOL!

For many years, Gholson ISD has offered students in grades PK-8 a quality education in a safe, nurturing environment. GISD now looks forward to extending this opportunity to students in grades 9-12.
Gholson High School will begin enrolling students in grades 9 & 10 for the 2012-2013 school year. 11th grade will be added in August, 2013 and 12th grade in August, 2014.
GHOLSON ISD OFFERS:
*A long history of academic excellence - for 14 of the last 15 years GISD has achieved a TEA rating of Exemplary or Recognized.
*Consistently strong financial ratings, allowing for stability of staffing and programs. In 2011, GISD was one of only 43 districts to receive a 5-Star financial rating (FAST) from the Texas Comptroller.
*100% of teachers rated as highly qualified under the No Child Left Behind Act.
*Small class sizes that allow students to receive individual attention- average class size 15 students.
*Personalized tutoring provided if needed.
*Small student population allows students more opportunities to participate in extra-curricular activities such as 6-man football, basketball, volleyball, track, cheerleading, and theater.
*High school dual credit courses provided through MCC.

Required immunizations for students may be obtained at the Waco-McLennan County Public Health Clinic located at 225 W.Waco Drive.
